Fulya Birsu Kaya started her career in 2014 as a part-time Educational Technologist in an international consultancy company where she began to work full-time soon after her graduation. She continued her career as a specialist at the Graduate School of Educational Sciences at Bahçeşehir University for five years.  Over the course of her career, she has taken part in numerous public and private projects/workshops, offered training, and served as a teaching assistant for many graduate courses on a broad array of topics, including distance education, instructional design, multimedia design, and educational games. Kaya also offered the 40-hour “Training the Trainer" training at BAUSEM and wrote a master's thesis on virtual reality. 

She has been working as an Instructional Design Consultant at the Office for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (OLTE) at Özyeğin University since September 2020. As an Instructional Design Consultant, Kaya provides consultancy on the learning and teaching process to faculty members at the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the School of Applied Sciences by following latest scientific research and practices within the framework of techno-pedagogical education.
