BUS 100 Course Case Study

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

Digital books are being integrated into the learning-teaching processes of certain courses at our university (Pearson, McGraw Hill, etc.). We would like to share with you a case study conducted in one of these courses, which explores the experiences of both students and instructors with the digital book used in the learning-teaching process. Throughout the entire process—selecting the digital book, integrating it into the course, and gathering experiences—the course instructor collaborated closely with us.

Digital books offer significant contributions to the learning-teaching processes, including: (1) making the learning process flexible by providing access independent of time and place, (2) offering enriched activities with interactive content and multimedia elements, (3) enhancing active participation, making learning more engaging and permanent, (4) allowing learners to track their own progress, and (5) enabling the monitoring of learner performance and providing personalized learning experiences through learning analytics (Huang, Liang, Su & Chen, 2012; Tang, 2021). Thanks to the frequent updates provided by digital platforms, digital content remains constantly up-to-date, allowing learners to acquire the most current information. For all these reasons, it is recommended to utilize the power of digital books to make the learning-teaching processes more effective and efficient. If you are interested in leveraging the power of digital books in your courses and/or would like to collaborate on a similar study, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

OLTE Team
